Characteristics

This 4-spindle 2 NC Vertical lathe was acquired from Kitako Corporation, a division of Kitagawa Iron Works, in 2011.

• As a FM-cell, the machine facilitates automation of a manufacturing line, and because of its vertical type, enables handling of heavy workpieces
• While machining on No.1 & No.2 spindle , part loading and unloading is done on No.3 & No.4 spindle
• 5 seconds for carrier indexing time which is the only time needed for part loading / unloading
• Various machining method
  

  1.Part reversing--Front and back side operation machining simultaneously

  or 2.Two parts at one cycle (w workpieces at a time )--Twin single operation leads to 1/2 cycle time

  or 3.Two different parts simultaneously on one machine--Part A and Part B machining simultaneously
