- April 1947
- Shimada Machinery was founded in Maruyama-cho, Gamagori-shi.
- January 1957
- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of a center lathe (4.5 shaku, with 1 shaku equal to 30.3 cm)
- May 1960
- Constructed and moved into a new office in Fuso-cho, Gamagori-shi, to enable business expansion, manufactured a center lathe, and completed development and began manufacture and sale of a vertical/horizontal milling machine.
- August 1962
- Reorganized the company into a corporation and established Shimada Machinery Co., Ltd.
- September 1962
- Developed Japan’s first 6-Spindle Automatic Lathe (Model: SC-6A).
- August 1965
- Production of center lathes (4.5 shaku) reached 2000 units.
- March 1966
- Specialized in the manufacture of 6-Spindle Automatic Lathes and began selling them.
- October 1971
- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of a 6-Spindle Automatic Lathe (Model: SC-6A-D).
- March 1972
- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of an 8-Spindle Automatic Lathe (Model: SS-8).
- January 1974
- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of a 6-Spindle Automatic Lathe (Model: SC-6E).
- November 1979
- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of a 6-Spindle Automatic Lathe (Model: SC-6EH).
- February 1981
- Sales of multi-spindle automatic lathes reached 1000 units.
- October 1986
- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of a CNC 6-Spindle Automatic Lathe (Model: CN-660).
- June 1989
- Completed expansion and renovation of the headquarters’ factory. Sales of multi-spindle automatic lathes reached 2000 units.
- July 1990
- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of a CNC 6-Spindle Automatic Lathe bar type (Model: B6-27).
- March 1994
- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of a 2-Spindle 1NC Lathe (2SI-6 & 8).
- February 1998
- Sales of multi-spindle automatic lathes reached 3000 units.
- March 1999
- Constructed a new headquarters/factory in Mito-cho, Toyokawa, and started full-scale operation.

- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of a Curvic Type 6-Spindle Automatic Lathe. (CN-660-C)
- June 2006
- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of a CNC 6-Spindle Automatic Lathe bar type (B6-32)

- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of a CNC 6-Spindle Automatic Lathe bar type (B6-16)
- October 2007
- Completed development and began manufacture and sale of a 2-Spindle 1NC Lathe bigger model (2SI-10)
- Jun 2011
- Constructed a new 2nd factory near headquarters / factory.
- Jun 2011
- Acquired 4-spindle project HS4200 horizontal model and VT4-350 vertical model from Kitako Corporation, a division of Kitagawa Iron Works.
